King Boat Trip

The next day was just as exciting. We rented a 12 person speed boat from Mr. King (King Charters) and hired Captain Stephan to sail our boat. Stephan, a mind mannered brit, took us to the BEST snorkel spots on the island. Stephan is a chef at a restaurant during the day, and a captain by night - not a bad life! We ventured off near Salt Island, where we snorkeled the R.M.S Rhone - An English Vessel , sunk in 1867 during a hurricane.

Other dive sites worth mentioning were the caves and the Indians. The Indians are rocks in the middle of the ocean that used to resemble Indian heads back in the day. In total we snorkeled 8 snorkeling spots that day!

We did some island hopping as well - visited Peter, Norman and Cooper Islands, whose beaches are nearly stranded. Norman island is also known as Treasure Island, since its the island that was Robert Louis Stevenson's inspiration for his book Treasure Island. We learned that the island actually has no permanent inhabitants, other than a handful of goats ! Ben, Dano and I swam to the shore where we were greeted by a sting ray in the shallow shores of Cooper Island.

We ended the night at....you guessed it Willy T! Ben made the tribute jump off the boat. Dano, a bit vigilant at first, made a superstar pose for the camera on his first try!

The Willy T was adorned with many expensive boats, rich men and their wives. One boat in particular, brought in 3 American couples who were at least in their 40's. They were all the talk of the boat, but one lady in particular received a LOT of attention. I'll let the picture do all the talking....

The funny story is that Nikki and Clive came to the Willy T a few minutes after we had left. Apparently, the older American Couples (a.k.a. miss pink above and Mr. speedo) invited Nikki and Clive on their $10 million dollar boat for an after party- I wont say much more other than it wasn't the kind of party that Nikki and Clive were into!
